Agenda - Addressing the Link Between Drug Abuse and Mental Health (SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being).

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) recognizes the critical importance of addressing the link between drug abuse and mental health within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 3 - Good Health and Well-being. Acknowledging the interconnected nature of substance abuse and mental health challenges, the UNODC emphasizes the need for a comprehensive and integrated approach. Member states are urged to develop evidence-based policies and programs that prioritize prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services for individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. The organization remains committed to assisting member states in implementing strategies to mitigate the adverse impact of drug abuse on mental health, contributing to SDG 3 and ensuring the well- being of communities worldwide.
